RIGHT NOW...I am super tired, a low grade fever of 100.2.
Every so often, I get this attacks at my left chest (where the heart is). Stabbing pains. And I cringe everytime, but know they will go away. A few minutes ago, I got the biggest pain in my chest ive felt yet. I have been having these stabbing sessions (not literally) for a few weeks now. Today was much worse than usual. I do not know if it is my eating habits...I have a clogged artery...or clot in the lungs. Last week (and 10 days ago)...I was having pains in my front sides (right under my rib cage). And every now and then I have a sharp pain in my left I was hoping it would go away...and it did for a few days...but now i have a fever.

Any ideas on what I am at battle with?
I'm 22 yr old male. 125lbs. 5'6" Moderatly active.

Gosh, I sure wish you'd go straight to the doctor. Sharp pains and a fever is not a good combination.

WebMD recommends calling your doctor...

Could be gallbladder attacks, or a blockage in the area. Go to the doctor. They can feel like what you would think a heart attack might feel like. They just get worse too. Greasy and fatty foods, or even sodas can cause that blunt stabbing pain. Avoid things that make you have gas. But do go to a doctor because with fever, it means that its coming to a boiling point and could possibly be something that you can't help without surgery.

I'm not a doctor and everyone likes to think someone else's symptoms mimic their own..... so on that note, it sounds like an infection in the chest wall . As i said i'm no doctor, BUT it sounds like something i experienced. It took antibiotics to clear up. Good luck, and go see someone who is a doctor , unless your a hypochondriac and in that case seek out a therapist.

i would say what are you waiting on , why haven't you been to a Dr. it would seem like you could have an inflammation in your chest wall around your heart & you need an antibiotic . if you can't afford a dr. go to an er , they have to take you there & they will find out your problem but please do not let your pride get in the way , i implore you to please go now . the problem is not going away & you need help . i will pray for you . may god bless you !! i do not think it is a blood clot in your lung . just an inflammation, stop procrastinating & go now .

they COULD be gas pains. yes gas pains, they hurt like a son of a ***** but you can get gas anywhere. but i'd still go to e.r. you don't want to end up having your heart stop on you. if they're off and on over the past few weeks, could be in your diet. but none the less, yahoo answers really isn't the place to come for a diagnosis, especially for something that could be life threatening. to to the urgent care hun.
