Yes, it has become more syncretistic.
IOW: All pathes lead to the same god.
Take the Yankee Stadium Service after 9-11. Muslims, Jews, Christians etc all worshipped their gods and did not make any exclusive claims to the Triune God.
Take the previous Pope who kissed the Quran.
How about George Bush with all his syncretistic worshipping while in office.
I could go on and on.

I am afraid that Christianity has become more ''holier than thou art''. It is so afraid of Islam, it has become fanatical in pushing the beliefs of the evangelical movement. Scary.
