As long as he still wants to talk to you then yes its fine. If he made it clear that he wants no contact with you then I wouldn't. When and if he ever wants contact with you he'll let you know. There is nothing wrong with couples staying friends and still communicating every once in awhile. If you have no idea how he feels anymore then I would and see what happens from there. Just keep it short and sweet. You don't want to scare him off or anything. If you know if he has a girlfriend or not you might not want to. Who knows what would happen if she found out. Alot of girls get very angry when they keep in touch with their ex's. Some don't care. See what you can find out first or take the chance and see what he says. Good luck.

Girl, it is okay to send him a FRIENDLY hi. But that is it. Of course you are going to miss him, he was a big part of your life. And you probably still have strong feelings for him. You may also want some closure to the end of that relationship....

I have a friend where the same exact thing happened to her, the guy just got up and left one day all of a sudden because he was sooo scared of commitment

Sure its ok to send a friendly note, afterall you arent the one who left, he did...

If you are just wanting to say hi and let him know that you are ok then it is ok, but if you are expecting something else from it, then I would say NO you will only get hurt.

Make sure that you know your true reasons and good luck with what ever you do.

If you say hi, you may be setting yourself up for a let-down... if you want to say hi, go for it, but really make sure that you are totally, 100% over him, bc if he didn't want you in his life, it's likely he still won't be interested. I wouldn't go much further than friendly catch-up.

no,take it from someone who knows well contacting an ex who you still have feelings for is not a good idea.Wait till you are completly over him then contact, what if he is now married or engaged or has a steady girlfriend and you see them together won't it hurt because you still have feelings for him.My suggestion is wait till you are sure you can control all feeling you have for him before you contact him because their is a very good possibility he might call you or ask you to meet him for cofee or something.

If he did waht he did, THEN DONT send him anything!! He doesn't deserve you at all, he doesn't deserve a letter from you, don't show him that you still care about him, look for someone else, and keep going with your life, forget about him,. i know its not easy but trying is the keyword
