I have a Ganglion Cyst in my wrist. It has popped before and gone away but then it came back again and now its even bigger. Its starting to get really noticable now. I want to get rid of it but i dont want to have to be put to sleep & go into surgery to do it. (and i dont want to bust it again because it will only come back bigger again) Is there any other way to get rid of it? cant the doctors stick a needle into it and suck it out? or just cut it out at the doctor surgery??

(I'm not afraid of going to sleep to get it cut out, its just a nusience, i'll have to get time off work and it will cost alot to have to be put to sleep etc.)

I have had mine removed twice...because the first time, they didn't get it all...the second time, they put me to sleep...and i am very glad they did it that way...it was fast, and although my hand was numb for a while..it never came back and they could dig in and get it all out. it really was sunk in deep...unknown to me.

My father has had ganglions for a while, he's had surgery to get it removed when it was at the point where it would hit everything and constantly hurt. But....what do ya' know, it grew right back, he's been able to ignore it lately, it's not so large and is just more of an anoyance than anything. Draining is most likely pointless if surgery doesn't even do anything.

you should probably get the surgery. it works best. my sister had one that won't go away either she's gotten surgery and it worked perfectly!

your options are pretty limited... smash it and continue to massage the area every day to break up the scar tissue... that's what is making it bigger.
