Your Ranger was part of the recall, and the spare should have been changed with the rest of the tires under recall 01B77. The Wilderness A/T you have now should not even be under the truck, it should have been replaced long ago, if it is a Wilderness ATX it is not part of the recall, check to confirm. Take it back to the dealer and complain. Or call the tire inquiry center for Ford customer assistance at 1-866-300-1226, and give them your information. Some dealers may not have been honest when doing the recalls, and in an effort to save time did not change the spare, this is wrong and should be corrected.

As I recall Mazda B series truck also had the recall. And if it is used only as get you there tire it should never be a problem The tire was the "Wilderness AT" Law suits really blew up the whole tire thing. So much so all cars and trucks must have tire pressure systems installed after 2006. GET READY FOR MORE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ISSUES. Ford explorer seven people and gear driving 70 mph with 15 psi in the tires with the driver talking on the cell phone steering with there knee because the kids are being kids in the back seat, Just taking eyes off the road a second with out two hands to control the vehicle with a blow out in a high center of gravity truck. Roll ,roll , roll your truck. Not so gently down the freeway.

I would check with your local dealer. I wouldn't worry about the spare. The Rangers never had any issues with tires, it was only Explorers built in a very short period of time. Even though Ford recalled all their Firestone tires, 99% were unaffected. My Ranger qualified, but it was a 2000. The guy who hyrdoplaned doesn't know what he is talking about, the affected tires overheated on DRY pavement, that is why the tread separeted. Maybe his bald tires or driving style were the issue...

Late 2000. I remember well, since I rolled my '97 Ranger in Mar 2000. And Ford/Firestone denied any responsibility for the accident. (hydroplaning)

Wow, there's one for the memory banks. IIRC, the recalls were with Explorer models & Firestone tires. That was back in the mid nineties. Your local Ford dealer can tell you more, but I don't think you're in that mix. Sorry!

relies upon on what the hot keep in mind is for - if this is an same one as before overlook about it. If this is for something else, make an appointment on the broking and take it in; lower than a keep in mind word, you will pay not something for the upkeep finished lower than the keep in mind - they are going to probable attempt to communicate you into another upkeep regardless of the reality that so pay attention :}
