okay so i told my parents about my boyfriend...but they are asking me all thes WHY questions...there all like so you want to get married? have kids?! have SEX?! but the answer is noooo...my reasons were because he is a very sweet person...and he is on the same level with me and we just relate so much...idk...i cant explain it really..in order to keep my bf they said i need to come up with some GOOD reasons...so what are some good reason that i could tell my parents?! WHY do we have boyfriends/girlfriends? kthx...

becos......... sometimes in life u need the need of some1 special in ur life. some1 who understands u and is supportive. some1 u can turn to when ur hopes fail or ur world collapses. Some1 sweet, honest, caring, loving and giving. SOme1 called ur Boyfriend.

the reason you should have a boyfriend is to see where you are compatible with him... and if you ARE compatible with him (by that i mean he doesn't drive you completely nuts and you love each other very much) you should get married.
if you're not ready to get married in three years (give or take a year) it might not be best to have one.
i say this because i've gone through it... and if you make careless choices about who to date or how many people to date, that can really mess you up. each relationship you get into, you take a part of that person. if they influence you in ways you don't want to be influenced, or you just aren't ready for a commitment (say, maybe you're 13 or something) you shouldn't date...

Your parents are going way overboard. When we grow older, we start liking the opposite sex. I mean, unless your some slut and really wants to have sex with the guy you like then I would understand your parents, But I'm sure you aren't a slut. We have bf / gf because it makes us feel good and partially knowing the process when we grow older..

No offense but your parents sounds really stupid. Your answer was fine.. you want companionship, you want a special person to relate to and be yourself around. If they cant accept those types of reasons as good, suggest that maybe you it will seem like a more "legit" relationship if you have sex with him. That should shut them up.

Just tell them it's part of growing up and is a developmental stage of life. It doesn't sound very reaonable to me that they should require this of you if you're of an old enough age, but still try to be reasonable with them.

to feel like you are important and to be loved...it is really complicated but it sounds like u and ur bf are a good couple so fight with all of your might...plus if ur parents say you have to break up with him than dont just keep it a secret from them but i would only recommend that for a last resort

well you can always say mom, dad plz don't misunderstand me but my boyfriend is more like a friend. we have many things in common and we're like pals. and the reasons i have a boyfriend is becauz ther's less drama then i would have with girlfriends......
