I am fascinated by numerology, and it's accuracy is undeniable much of the time. I grew up in a super strict home, my dad often said: "Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft... and you KNOW what they did to witches..."

Surprisingly enough, I remain in the Christian Church anyway! I believe in God, and Christ, the Trinity, etc. but wonder if my interest in numerology is considered a problem (by anyone but those who use religion/Christianity as a weapon against others, which in my book, is not cool).

Is Numerology Biblical

Numerology is a form of divination. Witchcraft and sorcery don't mix. The Cabala (also spelled Qabala, Kabala, etc.) is a heresy. It's a combination of Judaic mysticisim with Gnosticism (Christian heresy) that originated around the14th century in France.

I was brought up in a strict home too. I was into the occult for many years, but I returned to my Christian faith. Try reading some C.S. Lewis, such as Mere Christianity. Christianity isn't all about hellfire and brimstone.

I don't think you would get kicked out or anything. Hopefully not since Jesus preached forgiveness. But I know the probelm with things like "psychics" & astrology, for example is that they imply that they know all, but only God knows all & what will happen in the future. So if Numerology "predicts" the future in some kind of way then yes, I would think Christianity would have a problem with that.

Numerology was studied by the Qabalists, who were the first people to believe in God. They also follow much of the bible, but not the parts by "prophets". So in reality Christianity was based on these concepts, thus it not being a sin. Take a look at the old testament instead of the new, the new testament is biased and written by a bunch of egotistical men.

If you believe it's a sin than it is. If you never leave the flock, you'll never get off that old block. Christians and religions in general have been using Christianity as a weapon for years. They have started and still are starting wars all the time, who knows how many they've killed in the name? I don't think Numerology is bad, I don't think it's started many wars, or killed many peoples.Do you really think when you die someones going to ask you, if you were Pentecostal? Belief is not required, (your soul) will reincarnate anyway. Count your blessings: It's the Year of the Dog

Sounds like you need a touch od deprogramming. Your father wasn't actually running on all cylinders, was he? Numerology is just another fake fortune telling technique.
