C'mon, now. If you had you would've thrown your Bibles away!

wow,
first off, when you start a question with the antagonism of "you....so and so's" you're revealing the fact that you are not here to actually "ask"
a question.
So to respond effectively, one might say, "Have you atheists ever read the theory of evolution? C'mon now. If you had, you would have thrown your science books away".
Do you see how ineffective this approach is?

The fact is, the historicity of the Noah's ark story, is reflected in the legends of many cultures throughout the earth.
From the eastern hemisphere to the western, the ancient story is retold through almost every part of the earth.
How does on e explain the reason why a story that is written of in the Bible has spread throughout the earth even outside of the Bible's Jewish origins?
You would do well to better research that which you scoff at.
Otherwise you may find yourself a laughing stock in front of everyone.

I am not sure what you are referring to in paticular so I will answer from a couple points.. Noah was only human....like you and I not a perfect man....

The great pyramids can be proven to have a salt line about 300 feet high both on the inside and outside of the pyramid... This is approximately 400 450 feet above the Nile River.. hmmmmmmm Ancient Sea Shells have been found inside of the pyramid around this salt line..... hmmmmmm

No where will you find in modern history an explanation of flood waters reaching that high up the side of the great pyramids..... hmmmm Oh wait a second, I forget there is a an historical account of this.......

The old testiment talks of the great flood.....every culture on earth has in its archival history a "great flood"...... Coincidence? I really dont think so.......

Please accept my tone above as trying to show a little humor...but my faith in God allows me to believe the Bibles acount of the flood.... That I do take as truth with all my heart.....

Please keep an open mind my friend..... Sea Shells inside the pyramid by a salt line.around 250 to 300 feet (Check this information out , it is true my friend)..... The pryamid is probably the only man made structure that survived the great flood.... It still could have been completely submerged.... The flood waters went down in stages and hung around for many, many months afterwards... (close to 6 months or more I believe...). That could have been what created the Salt Line?..... I really dont think anyone else can provide any other valid explanation....... Its hard to disprove the truth..

Yes I have read the Noah and the Ark story several times.

No it does not lead me to throw away the Bible.

God created the world, so why is it hard to believe he flooded teh world. (Especially if it rained for 40 days and nights)?
When things run on 'automatic' science (how God did stuff) is very believeable. When God makes an 'exception to the rule', it is not hard for him as he created the world anbd probably knows the 'exceptions' too.

why?
You obviously have read it and got a completely different impression than that of someone else. But, to say that is a reason to throw the whole Bible out is complete nonsense.

Perception is the key to individual growth. You perceive a thing one way, and someone else perceives the same thing different. But that is not the reason to say that thing is not what it is, it's only how you and another perceive it to be.

Besides, you already have a belief that it is not a good story, so you have gone in biased even before you read one word. But, who was it that gave influence to that biased opinion?

Most stories in the bible are quite farfetched, but you have to understand they were written by ignorant people who had no clue as to how big the world really was, and were trying to explain things so others around them would understand.

Yes, I have read it! I don't know what your point is! Why would I throw away my bible? I'm a firm believer in the bible and god, that's my choice, but you don't have to believe. To each there own.

Yep, I've read it several times. Amazing how only Noah believed and listened to God and he and his family was saved.
