when my hair was longer i would where it in a french braid or regular braid. Pull a little hair down on the sides and curl It i think it looks great for long hair especially for thick hair. My hair is super thick .Try it you'll like it as long as its done right make sure the braid is straight.

a nice thick head band and a low bun with maybe bangs to the side ! Thats cute ! orrr.... Pin straight hair but still kind of a messy look to it !

try parting it in the middle and braiding each side then pin them together at your neck and braid the remaining hair the rest of the way or just leaving them and putting a hair bow to hold them

use hot rollers and kind of feather it out, make stay in place with a little bit of hairspray.
