Pull him aside privately and say to him that though he may want to take the relationship to the "next level" you are not ready to take him there yet and that as this is the case you want him to be happy, but that it cannot be with you and to start dating other girls. He will probably take hard but he will respect you for being honest and by telling him privately he will like you for allowing him to maintain some public dignity about the breakup. Good luck with the repurcussions of your breakup.

Just tell him upfront and be honest.
Telling him the truth is better than making up some lie to get rid of him. It may crush him at first but he'll eventually get over it and move on.
You shouldn't be forced to be in a relationship that you don't want to be in, so just break it off gently, but naturally.

just let him know.....
dont be like i.... or something like we.....
just be gentle to him....
let him know why you you brake up with him.... make sure that you have a good reason... cause other wise he wont beliva ya
its gonna be really hard for him to understand.... trust me
i even felt weird(and i still do) after i dumped him.... i feel a little jeleousy inside when some girl wants to ask him out
its gonna be weird fr both of u... expecially if u guys become friends

stop going out with him when he askes you too .just tell him things are not working out or whatever the truth is as to why you want to break it off , dont waste no more of his time

You must be honest with him..Tell him that u dont wanna be with him anymore and explain him why..Dont let him find out by others...Speak to him face to face....Its the best way....

tell him to his face that it is not working out and you need some time to figure out what you want in your life at the moment. don't do it over the phone do it in person
