First, as all have said, see a Dr. A family of drugs called Triptans may be prescribed (Imitrex for example). Then you may be put on an old type of antidepressant that works for migraines as well (Amitriptyline for example). You may even be put on an antihypertensive medication for high blood pressure to cause your blood vessels to dilate, this decreases the pressure throughout the body and thus in your brain blood vessels as well.
STAY AWAY FROM CAFFEINE. Colas, Coffee's, Etc. Do not play around with herbal or natural remedies until the type of headache you have AND it's cause is determined. There are many causes for migraines, you may be having intermittent cluster headaches or severe tension headaches, many of these overlap one another, with tension headaches setting off migraine headaches and visa versa. Only a specialist can tell you these things.Good Luck. (Neurologists are the specialists).

First and foremost see a Dr. I was being seen for migranes for years till one said I needed an MRI. Found out I had a small tumor in my brian but the pain was coming from stress headaches that developed into a migrane. He also put me on oxygen therapy which also helped out. I also started seeing a chiropractor for adjusting my neck and back which helped a lot. When I feel one coming on I take Imitrex at that moment and within 10 mins the pain subsides. If you are given meds for your headaches, take it as soon as you feel any symptoms or pain coming on and try to relax. If possible run a warm-hot shower on your neck and scalp to help you relax. Ask a chiropractor to show you some neck exercises to help take away and pressure you build up in the neck muscles. Good luck.

First of all take two Tylenol with a ice cold bottle of Coca Cola. Lay down in a dark, cool and quiet room. Take a nap. When you wake up the headache will be gone. But don't go back to sleep, get up and move around. If you go back to sleep the headache will come back. Sounds like you have migraine headaches.

Sounds like a migraine at first, BUT you would N E E D the AC on... cooling is very helpful (unless of course you are a very cold natured person, then maybe that could explain your not needing a cool area).

Iboprofens, 800mg worth, is THE only thing that helps my headaches (Migraines and regular) that I have found and that includes prescriptions of Vicadin, Darbacet, etc... that and being in a very cool, dark room, with no sound or movement.

This could be sinus, allergy related too.

First, see a doctor to rule out any serious medical problems. Meditation and relaxation exercises may help. You also may want to try herbal supplements, they work very well at eliminating the headaches before they begin.

You are one of millions suffering from Migraines.

Now, first : Drink lots and lots of water, essential litres, 3 -4 -5
Sounds mad but it helps.
Force yourself to drink every day a minimum of 3 litres.

Painkillers : CAFERGOT can help.
But it is not the right thing to continue taking medications.

NEXT : Drink FEVERFEW tea, PLANTAIN tea. each and every day 2 cups in severe cases 3 or for throughout the day.

BLACK COFFEE helps.

STOP eating : fast 1 day, and DO NOT eat chocolates. Many
suffererers dont know but chocolate is a culprit.

Then : If you can, take a SAUNA, sweat it out, as much as you can.

Get rid of your wastes in your body.

Those are called migranes. They are very severe and long-lasting headaches with many sideeffects. Talk to your doctor and get medicine to ease pain.

Sounds like you have chronic migraines like me. Go to you doctor and tell them about it. There are prescriptions that will help prevent them from even happening. Also, avoid caffeine and chocolate.
