my wife appeared in interview for naturalization in Alexandria office on 20 june 06...her 1 stay in previous 5 years out of USA was of 11 months..INS officer told her to submit evidance of rerason for that stay which she has submitted..now when she will b re called for interview & what are chances that she will get citizenship...thanks

She will be called in for another interview. She will then be denied. You'll have to file a waver and it's likely that she will have to go back to her country and wait for the waver to process. This normally takes 6-10 months. Depending on the embassy.
When anyone is in the US illegally for any length of time, they are sent back. If the waver is denied she will be barred from entering the US for 10 years. Good luck

Did you wife provide proof that she continued to live, work, and/or have ties to the U.S. (e.g. paid taxes) while she was away? That is what is required under the law to illustrate that, despite her leaving for 11 months, she maintained her ties to the US.

If she has not provided that, she should try to supplement what she already submitted with this additional information.

Your wife will probably not be called for another interview. She will receive a letter in the mail with the decision of the officer.
