I am guessing you're talking about God.

Do you believe carbon monoxide exists? You cannot see it, you cannot feel it touch you or hold it in your hand, you cannot hear it, you cannot taste it and you cannot smell it. Yet, it exists.

You can feel the effects of a large concentration of carbon monoxide but only when levels are elevated.

The same is true with God. He may not be detectible with physical senses but His effects can surely be felt.

Faith the size of a mustard seed is more faith than is needed to allow God into your life.

good question, why believe in something you can't see, feel or hear?

But honestly, how can you trust what you see, feel or hear, when in fact your eyes play tricks on you. There have been studies stating that some people who lose a leg, and even though it's been amputated, they feel a sensation from the leg that is no longer there. And, there's been studies that sound interpretation, or hearing, can be fooled to think a sound can be one thing, when in actuality it is made by something completely different.

How well can we trust 100% those feelings? truth is we can not.

Though I know there are going to be some who look at my answer and complete miss the point I am trying to make, which only re-enforces my point even more.

But, once again this is only my opinion, as yours may differ.

As we grow into adults it is an important part of growth to push past the 5 senses, and ask questions of the world around us, if not for this type of thinking, how could we explain truth or justice. What would the world be if no one had ever wondered what love is, I believe in God because if not for God or the idea of God anything would be possible we would have no standard and without the ideal image to aim for life would be meaningless

I don't know why people believe in atoms or intergalactic dust or bacteria or Australia if they have never been there, right? Could it be that there are some things that are discovered because they have left an imprint of there existence? I've never seen a dinosaur, but smart people say they have evidence they existed. I would be stupid to call them wrong.Same with other ideas.Smart people have studied things that you don't know about and they present their guesses about them. Others then decide if it is all trustworthy. If they trust, then they believe.

Do you believe in breathing. You can't see nor hear air. You will from time to time feel the consequences of the air doing something and therefore believe that it is still there. The same may just be true for God.

People who believe in a religion and/or deity often do have personal proof that their deity exists. It isn't about believing in something that you can't sense, it is about sensing something that most people don't.

If you don't believe in a deity or religion, that is just fine for you. If you can't feel, see, or hear any deities, then there is no reason for you to believe in it. But others do have personal evidence that leads them to believe in their chosen spiritual path.

We do see, feel and hear. But you have to know God in order to have that type of relationship with him. We see miracles in our lives that He orchestrates, we feel our heart grow tender for the needy because He gives us love, we hear His voice when He prompts us to stop and help a person stranded on the side of the road, that otherwise we would have drove by. I could go on.

Are you really the kind of person who doesn't believe in love? You must be young I have deep abiding love for my family to the point I would die before I allowed them to come to harm. If you have no faith in love you must be a very sad person.... Jim

why do you believe that the world trade centres were ever bombed? did you see it? feel it? hear it? assuming you do not live in NYC of course. if you do, substitute something else, like the indonesian tsunami. because, after all, somebody probably TOLD YOU about these things too and thats the only reason you believe it ever happened. they may not have.
