I got mine when they first came out and they cost me £95.
I have really thick, wavy hair but prefer a sleek and shiny look.
My hairdresser recommended them and I honestly couldn't do without them.
I must admit that my hair tends to split at the ends more frequently than before...but a trim at the hairdressers sorts that.
I've had other straighteners that don't compare...
My sister however has thinner, straighter hair and she has the glass ones that were a bit cheaper.
I guess it depends on your hair type and how often you are going to use them.

YES! Absolutely 100% worth it. I bought mine for £85 three years ago, I have been happy with my hair ever since. Think of it as an investment and it's a small price to pay for good hair every single day. They have made my life soooo much easier.
None of my friends ever want to shell out that much money so they'll spend 30 on a different pair, then they never compare to the GHD's and so they end up buying those later on anyway.

I love my GHD's. I have bought a number of different straighteners over the last few years and now i have GHD's i'd never go back. You can use them to straighten your hair and curl it if you learn how.
They are definitely a worthwhile investment.

i have a pair of babyliss ones which are normally £50 in boots and argos but are on offer at the moment in argos for like £30. My mates all have ghd's and have said mine are far better when they have used them and are alot cheaper they also got hotter than ghd's which is good if your hair is very thick.

they are good, but i wouldnt buy them I bought some from remington sleek and curl ones and they are brilliant. GHDs are overrated, and too expensive, mine were only 40 quid, to do the same job why pay more?

i got some ceramic straighteners, not GHD though. they were half price couple of years back so i paid 40 quid. i live them, nice large plate, two heats, quick warm and cool, plastic around them so you can put them down where you like, comfy to hold, look good, do you want me to go on?!!!
