You can't find anyone to take two dogs because of the absolutely huge dog overpopulation problem in this country.
Why people are breeding dogs is beyond me, when hundreds of thousands of dogs are euthanized every year because no one wants them.
Breeders need to shut down, puppy mill operators should be shut down and imprisoned, the AKC needs to stop telling everyone that purebreds are better than mutts, and people need to adopt homeless pets before buying inbred purebreds from breeders and puppy mills (pet shops).
When they do get a dog, people need to think of it as a long-term commitment and only get a dog that fits their lifestyle. Too often people get a dog and then have a baby or move and then decide it would be better not to have a dog and then surrender it to a pound or worse, leaving the dog to pay for the people's lack of foresight with it's life.
Dogs are not just property you can throw away when you decide you don't want them anymore.
Sorry for the rant, but that's why you can't find anyone.

You have to find a real animal lover who is willing to do that. Most people want puppies since they're all cutesy and they can raise them to behave a certain way from a young age. A lot of people honestly don't have the fenced in yard needed for large dogs. Place an ad in the paper and describe the dogs so that people who have the space will want to meet them. Call them sweet, a good companion, a protector, low maintenance, a playmate, a jogging buddy... whatever suits the dogs' personality. But don't lie. Hopefully, someone will want to see the sweet loveable dog you described and they'll fall in love and take one home.

Why don't you take them? I have one dog that I found dumped, one dog from rescue, and a puppy that was for free that I picked up so she wouldn't get bred like crazy.
You can advertise in the paper and charge a small fee to weed out not so nice people. But I would not list them as "free" because someone who is willing to put a little money out to get them might be more inclined to keep up with the health care of them.
Good luck!

If more people would adopt from Animal Shelters and Rescues it would free up more room for new animals. I am associated with a dog rescue and we often have to put a "hold on intake" of new dogs until we can get some adopted out. Thankfully it usually isn't too long.

Because a lot of renters aren't allowed to have pets and people are suspicious of grown animals that people are trying to give away (like, what's the problem with the dog that you aren't telling me about) And, many people are on a low or fixed income and simply cannot afford to feed an animal (food really adds up, not to mention vets, licensing, carpet cleaning, etc.)

Check around for a dog sanctuary or no kill shelter in your area. That would be their best bet on finding a forever home, if you are unable to do this for them. Good luck!

you should give people a little history about them, like, are their shots up to date, are they good with kids, things like that people want to know. maybe offer to pay for the 1st vets visit to give someone and incentive to take them. good luck!
