I am asking this question, mainly because all the answers I read in response to similar questions shift the burden of proof around. A lot of atheists believe that God doesn't exist because there is no evidence for his existence. Theists believe that God exists because there is no contradictory evidence. Both are fallacious.
The arguments go like this:
God exists.
There is no evidence for his nonexistence.
There for he must exist.
OR
God does not exist.
There is no evidence for his existence.
So he does not exist.
So rather than shift the burden of proof, answer the question evidentially speaking using logical arguments without committing the aforementioned fallacy.

God can be whatever you want to define God as. I am looking more for logical arguments for or against his existence than a definition of God.

The term God may need to be further defined if you want a specific answer. In my opinion, God = the universal energy that animates us all. The magic that makes the world go, as it were - not some guy sitting up there plotting and schemeing (or rewarding and punishing) using us a pawn for some nebulous reason, only known to him.
If you can agree with this definition, then the answer is clear. We walk and talk. The earth spins and the plants grow. While humans may be able to reproduce a lot of these feats, there is still no real understanding of the spark that breaths life to this existence.
I think that satisfies the argument nicely. It is observable fact with no clear reason. We can not know the unknowable, but we can understand that there is an unknowable, right? But we can all agree to call it god.
Peace!

Are we talking about God the diety, or God the Bible?
As far as a 'higher being' goes, I simply find it impossible to believe that there is a supernatural being sitting in the clouds, directing everyone's life. For instance, when my friends mom gets a green light: 'Thank God!' Why are you thanking God? Do you really believe He's sitting there, at that stoplight, waiting for you to come so He can turn it green? What about the other people at the red light, who believe in Him just as much as you do? Also, I think there's too much evidence supporting the theory of evolution to think that we were suddenly created, for no apparent reason other than to serve God and then either go to Heaven if we're good, or go to Hell if we're bad.
If we're talking about the Bible? It was written ~2000 years ago by men of the church, who knew almost nothing about how the world around them worked. Need I say more?
I respect others beliefs, but can't understand them for the life of me.

The proof is in creation itself. Look around you. Who can make anything that vaguely resembles a simple leaf never mind a tree.
And look at the universe, the planets etc.
Also look at the human body - take just one thing, the eye - no man can make a camera that comes anywhere close to it.
Also we have the Scriptures - prophecy written down sometimes hundreds of years before the events, in detail. Only God could know things like that.
The Bible tells us that the fool says there is no God

I truly believe God exsists, this is the issue people just dont realize that God the one and only and the original heavenly father God does exsists, he lives all around us maybe we cant see his whole entire body but hes lives all around us, the trees, parks, everything.

I believe because I have seen Him work in my life and many other people's lives. My God is living and His miracles are things atheists can't explain.

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd

Exactly. Given that neither side can prove anything, agnosticism is the only acceptable opinion in terms of logic.

why are you trying to prove that G-d exists? this is the internet. we can't even be sure that YOU exist. why don't you start with proving your own existence to us, and if you can do that, you can try to prove G-ds existence.
