my mom has lung cancer, and I want her to have a wig made from my hair. I do not know who to ask to make this request and it is very important to me to have this done. Thank you for any suggestions.

talk to your hair person...they may know, just last month when I was waiting my hair guy braided this girls hair(it was to her waist) she donated it to someone and he knew just what to do....good luck and that is awesome of you to do for your mom...she will prob'ly cry, I would!

You can try getting in a chat room and talking with someone who has or knows someone who experienced cancer. They get alot of info. Try Cancer Society, or call a hospital that specializes in cancer, another option go into a shop that makes wigs and if still not enough info try a hair stylist.

Awwww that's really nice of you. You could probably ask your local hairdresser. They usually send hair off to people that make wigs, if the customer wants them to. Best of luck to you and I wish the best for your mom!

Try "Locks of Love" - I know they make wigs from donated hair for cancer patients.
