How can people who have to value for their own lives, and even less for those around them ever be peaceful?

What is it with muslim extremists? They wont live in peace because they have no value for life on earth, only a glorified death that results in their eternal happiness.

How do you create a government system baised on moral responcibility and human value for a people who only value death?

I believe muslim was preceeded by 'extremist' in my question. I know a few muslims who are not extremists and are peace loving people. You have to read the whole question.

Hopefully, the rest of the country, who are not extremists, can band together and form a democracy.

But as for the yodelling, flag burning, head chopping, suicide bombers, their world of chaos is too culturally prehistoric for any government more advanced than Despotism.

So to answer you question, only those more socially evolved can form a democracy.

Well, the French used to guillotine people. The Americans used to burn people at the stake for witchcraft. Most of the Western world either denied full rights to women and minorities, or openly practicied slavery - and all this continued after democracy took hold, in many instances, even into the 20th century.

So take a look at how you believe that democracy requires the notion of a "right to life" that you take for granted. Took a lot of people getting murdered and beaten down fighting for their rights to get to that point.

As for Muslims valuing life less, that's a fallacy. Different culture. They still love their children and their families. Americans have problems too with that. Ever see the stats on the website for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children?

Been in Iraq fighting for two years, and around various Muslim cultures traveling the world for a while longer. Might do you good to travel out a bit more. Knowing a few people is nowhere near immersion in a culture. And definitely not grounds for a blithe and woefully inadequate series of generalizations.

Once upon a time I thought all Vietnamese (gooks) had no values at all, let alone life itself. I was sitting in a classroom, coming up with all the answers, making all my inexperienced assumptions about things I could only read or hear about. All this changed when I handed a hysterical mother her dead daughter in a village called Cho Lach in the Republic of South Vietnam in 1969. Life is more important to these people than we think. Think personal. rat

In the Gulf Sates which are the backbone countries of Muslim islamic creed one has to remember that first and foremost they are all subject to the total Indoctrination of Islam. From small children upwards Islams doctrines are beaten into them! Spend time in any of these countries and it will without any doubt become very apparent. No debate, discussion od any sort is allowed, nothing can be questioned. Only Islamic brain dead, in their millions, pour out of the mosques after Friday prayers to destroy everything / everyone who is not Muslim.

Lets have less crap. Go there watch it, see it demonstrated every hour of every day / year in year out on the Media! Its vile - and Western Govts still allow them to settle in mainland Europe and all over the world.

I think many people confuse democracy with freedom and liberty. Democracy simply means rule by the majority. This rule can, in theory, be just as oppressive as a totaltarian government.

But I agree with your basic premise- that Muslims cannot live in peace with the western, democratic tradition which values personal freedom and rights over the traditions of Islam.

The major problem with Islam is that it is impossible to separate that which is political with that which is sacred. It's all one ball of wax with Muslims. Even if the majority rules in a Muslim country, the majority believes in Muslim shariah law which is, by nature, oppressive towards minority religions.

Respect for life is not required. Democracy is might-makes-right majority rule. It's all about the majority of people controlling the minority.

Now, Democracy only works effectively when everyone is willing to accept the decisions of the majority, but that does not inherently require a respect for life.

What is it with hypocrites?

What is it with David Koresh and the Dravidians making like they they were kings of the House of David and shooting Roden?

What is it with Timothy Mcveigh bombing Oklahoma City? And pointing his finger at the American government? Mcveigh calls himself a Christian.

What is it with Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris who shot a bunch of Columbine kids and a teacher and they call themselves atheists?

According to your question, America must not be a democracy.

i dont thinks that's a fair way to characterize all muslims. there's plenty of non-muslims in our own country who value death.

edit: but you obviously seem to think that they have full reign over middle eastern governments and cultures. why do you think muslim extremists have more power/influence in the middle east than religious, political, ammoral or any other kinds of extremists here in the US?

our representative-democracy has plenty of problems w/ extremists right here to deal with. and i still dont think its fair to say that "a people," which sounds more like muslims in gerneral than just muslim extremists, doesn't value life.

Vlakvark is amazingly precise. it relatively is how existence would desire to be. i'm from yet another tribe, and we've a n'anga particularly of a sangoma, and that i've got cows particularly of sheep and goats. Sheep and goats at the instant are not animals for persons from proud tribes like the Matabele. i'm Matabele. some human beings call us Ndebele now. My maximum existence changing journey substitute into the day I realised what it extremely is to be Matabele and not an earth-grubbing Shona canines. i'm very pleased with my warrior ancestors and choose to stay with their occasion. My subculture has formed me by using fact I grew up as a cowherd and drank the blood from the throats of the bulls and this made me sturdy and fierce like my ancestors. Robert Mugabe has formed my existence. He killed 0.5 my kinfolk at Lupane via shutting them of their huts and burning them to dying. i choose to do the comparable ingredient to the Shona and the North Koreans who helped them. i do no longer choose to pass to u.s.. it extremely is an evil place packed with corruption and badness. The human beings do no longer care approximately Africa, whether Mr Obama pretends to be African. he's barely a dolly mixture and he's not black or African. My kinfolk's ideals and traditions contain putting the Shona back of their place. whilst my ancestors got here down from the North with Shaka and Mzilikazi, they burnt each and all of the Shona's dwellings and killed each and all of the boys and boys and took the ladies human beings for his or her different halves. it extremely is the way it relatively is going to likely be, by using fact the Matabele are a sturdy tribe, and not earth-grubbing canines like the Shona. i think of i'll renounce there. i'm getting very excited. i think of i'll get my assegai which my father carried, and his father till now him, and sharpen the blade, merely to be waiting. Welcome to Africa, American boy.

I don't know. Americans are riding high off our forefathers, we certainly don't care for life anymore since so many support the needless war in Iraq, the torture of captives, and the use of horrible weapons such as cluster bombs (of which STILL kill people in Vietnam).
