The easuest way to do this would be to get a large piece of plastic or vinyl ( about 18" square ) and draw a circle on it using a compass or anything the size you want, then cut out carefully without going through the border. Craft stores sell stencil adhesive which you would spray on the back of your stencil to hold it on the wall while you paint. This adhesive allows you to pull up the stencil and reuse it again and again. Use a 6" paint roller to fill in the stencil on the wall and you will not have brush marks.

I like the fading circles in #3. The darker color at top will close the room in, so if it were my wall, I'd put the darker color on the bottom and fade the color going up. This would give the room an open, wider appearance. Good luck, I'm sure what ever you pick is going to turn out great. If you decide to go with #1, you can use 2 different sized paper plates, just compare the sizes of the plates to what you'd like. Hold the paper plate to the wall and with a paint brush paint around the plate so you'll get a nice clean edge, then fill it in big circle first. After that dries, hold the smaller plate on the painted circle and paint around it then fill it in with color.

I would use a stencil. Get a couple big sheets of poster board and cut different-sized circles into it. To draw your circles for the pattern, you can tie a string to a pencil, hold the string in place at the center of the circle, and keep the string taut as you draw :-)
When you have your stencil, it might take some trial and error to get it right. One thing I would recommend is to not have too much paint on your brush, that would cause the paint to ooze outside the edges of your stencil.
Once you have some circles on the wall, let them dry. Then you can do overlapping circles in a different color :-) Use the color swatches at the paint store to help you choose a nice color scheme for the room. Good luck!

make a template of a circle with cardboard. making the circle can be tricky but all you need is two pencils and some string. cut the string to the half the size of a circle you want. tie each end to one of the pencils. place on eof the pencils in the middle of the board and draw a line in a cirlce. let the string be your guide.
happy circling

Use the biggest paint brush you can find and then paint in a circular pattern. Try to keep it all in one direction. If at first the circle isn't big enough, just paint another one outside of it. Keep putting coats on till it is the way u want it.
Good luck!

Wow, that's cool. Get a big peice of card or board and cut a hole in it, the size you want the dots. Then use it as a template and keep moving itto each new place.

actually styrofoam dinner plates are what you want to get. paper ones have those wavy ridges on the ends, whereas styrofoam ones are smooth on the edge. get once, trace out patterns, then paint.
