I believe it is because most people's definition of religion is too narrow. Not believing in God is a religion. Whatever or Whomever you put your trust in is your God. I have not found anything or anyone that I am more willing to put my trust in than the God of the Bible. It amazes me that some people's religion inspires them to hate someone just because they trust in something different. I am saddened, myself. I can only believe that what I trust in is true, and I try to give everyone else the right to do the same. But I will claim my right to tell them I think they are wrong. Please help me see this more clearly if you can.

Well... nice try everyone. But no one was able to change my perspective. I was only confirmed again and again. And I do have a right to tell anyone I think they are wrong, as they have the right to tell me the same. I pray God blesses you all. I pray you all let Him.

And I beleive your definition is too broad...
See, you have NO RIGHT to tell me my beleifs are wrong. Especially not if youre going to complain about us here sharing our views that Gods dont exist.....
This section is not for the pulpit to preach to the choir. It is an open forum in which religion is discussed, the majority of the time by people that do not beleive against those that do beleive. If you wanna nice little place to call your own, go to your church on Sunday. This is not that place. This is the real world. Church is the place where you can all hold onto your stone age beleif systems.

Did you really think this out before you posted it?
1. Do you believe in pink unicorn gods? No? So your religion is "Idontbelieveinpinkunicornism". Because your faiths is that pink unicorns dont exist.
2. Trust whatever you like, but when you impose that belief on others and they retaliate dont call foul.
3. I claim my right to tell you that you are wrong, still going to whine that you are berated?

Everyone is God conscious, whether they believe it of themselves or not.
Atheists like to say the believe God does not exist, but I wonder why they make such a big deal of it. Why don't they just get on with their own lives, and allow others to believe in God.
The reason why Christians tell others about the Lord, is because we know their need to believe in Him, so that they will not perish, but Atheists have no reason to push their so called 'unbelief' on others.
It appears that in the athiest's quest to try and disprove God, they hope to disprove their beliefs, so that they too can find rest and peace for their souls.

As an atheist I have never in tended to insult or berate any person of any religion. I do respect other peoples beliefs.
But in this forum people are asking questions and get answers [they may not like] but the point is to get your point across. I really would appreciate if you would read this link, do disrespect in any shape or form; http://www.godisimaginary.com/video.htm

I guess I'm a god then. *shrug* I don't come here to berate anyone, I come for debate and to ask questions I truly want the answer too.

Why do people come to this category to say they believe in God and to berate those who don't?
It works both ways.

In as much as your god of your bible has as it's stated goal, the destruction of the world, and in as much as it is the same world I live in, it is my duty to go where-ever I can to fight this disease which threatens us all, your religion.

The people here who say they don't believe in God--are the ones who believe in Him the most. They just have a hard time expressing it, so they make fun of Him. It's sad but true. It takes alot more faith to not believe in God than it does to believe in Him. God bless.

Because it's so fun, and it works for the religious nuts as well! They walk away feeling like martyrs in the name of sweet baby jebus. In the end we all win.
