what is the "man" rule" for calling women after they ask for their number?

College experience taught me the typical time is three days. But boys can be unpredictable at times too! Good luck!

I have asked my husband... as I am not a man. ;) He says that it can be anywhere from 1 - 5 days. Even if it is within the first week you are good! Sometimes guys just get caught up in things, and btw they get nervous too.
Just passing along the message, from the man who took 3 weeks to call me after he asked for my phone number. We have now been married for 6 1/2 years!

I don't know why there has to be a wait period...that's so stupid...if he likes you enough he would call you within the next two days. If he calls the third or fourth day your not the very first thing on his mind...your probably just gonna end up being a booty call for him. If its the third day don't pick up until the fourth day. Make he wait and see how he likes it.

No man rule here. He is most probably trying to think of something to say and a little shy. He asked for your number he is interested. If he is to shy you may have to ask him out.

If a guy doesn't call ASAP he will loose out. You gotta' be quick. That hard to get **** doesn't work. It only causes problems. He may not call for 3-days trying to make it look like he doesn't need you and... BOOM! You already have plans.
Guys should call and make a date for later on. That's the best way. ;D

In my experience if a man is into you he calls with in two days three at the outside, if he leaves it more than that, they normally have more than one woman on the go or are into playing games.
The only exception is when they loose your number and went to herculean efforts to find it and thats why they delay.

I think its 3 days but guys always call me the very next day and that's how I like it.

It can happen the same day or up to a week. Sounds like he is trying to get his courage up! Nervous He will call so no worries.
