My friend I see many "religions" addressed in this section in my opinion. You see I use the definition of religion as it is defined in the dictionary as a zeal for a belief.
Most here do have a belief and do express that zeal as they will do what they do and say what they want to say. I am sure they do believe it or they would not say or do it.
Oh I am not necessarily talking of their stated words but of their motives for saying what they say OK. When they want to bash some one they do. When they want to agree they do. When they want to give a sermon they do and many times a long one. All that I see as one of the definitions or religion that is overlooked by most.
Another view is that a religion does bind one up again and I tell you in my view many are truly bound in whatever they believe. No amount of clear simple factual reasoning will change their minds. At least I do not see a lot who say here that this Yahoo Q&A was the source of their conversion.
I am not sure if I did answer your question, but I hope that I did make you think about that word you used in "religion". I does have a lot of meanings and each who hears it will form their own opinion and view. You are right that most think of Christianity or the like I guess because such is the declared big one in American and with Americans. I am sure that in another artea it would be another religion.
Do look up the word religion in the dictionary and do have a good day. P.S. thanks for the question OK

Now there's a good way to start an arguement: being open-minded about religion.
Not to honor stereotypes (even though many are dead-on), but to Christians, anyone who doesn't believe is as good as dead. Sound familiar? Kind of, dare I say, Islamic?
Personally, I think we should all just be the best we can be, and leave everyone else to do the same. Of course, I could be wrong and we should be out killing everyone who doesn't believe right. Oh, wait, that IS what we're doing....

Some are here for an honest exchange of beliefs.
Some are here obviously to "belief bash" anyone for any reason, it seems.
There have been several different religious views presented on the questions that I have looked at.
So ignore the ignorant responses and read for those responses which show a genuine interest in helping others understand.

Well from my perspective there is a lot of information about various religions, atheism, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, JW, Mormons, and many many more. I personally want to share with people what I have found in Jesus Christ that has answers for the problems in my life including the answer for eternal life.

Christianity is probably addressed the most because, in America, it is the most common religion and the one that it trying to throw it's weight around to get it's beliefs turned into this countries laws. So Christianity affects all of us, even if we aren't Christian.

Ive already got the true one with Jesus the one who died for our sins...i know some about other religions. The oens who need help are the unconverted ones who will listen. Some are fools just here to stir up trouble and some dont believe in anything so why do they bother coming here at all??

No, we're here to try to ridicule each other as much as possible. If you can't defend your beliefs, they're not worth having.
