'Such a mess', but you like us. Sorry you have been let down/hurt, whatever. Understand this...I need to think about it, means I need to think about it. What if you said 'OK, I understand you need to think about it.' You will find out that we can say NO and very directly when required. You might have better luck when you give up on what you want and find out what she wants instead.
