If you are building muscle or expending energy (Burning it by excercise) then yes. Increasing proteins can be the best outcome. This will enhance the lean muscle mass and proteins take longer to digest and burn. Avoid supplments. Eat a well balanced diet with slightly larger protein intake.

Yes, your body is starving for protein to help rebuild those muscle fibers. Plus you are burning a lot of calories. Just eat healthy high protein meals and drink plenty of water!
