Be a model of wisdom. Cherish them and show loving kindness to all, for no other reason than all need compassion and wisdom in their lives. Don't have an agenda or expect results or anything in return. Know that your karma and theirs is not the same just because you have the karma for being in the same area at the same time. This may be a time for you to increase your wisdom and they have different stuff ripening for them right now. Sometimes you do all you can and then they will move or you will.

First I would get to know my neighbors, their likes and dislikes! Also, find out what you guys have in common! You can discuss these things over an intelligent conversation! Find out the views, without being over bearing.

Get them to open up by asking them about themselves....what they like to do, where they went to school, what they majored in, where they have worked, their occupation, hobbies, etc. People usually like to talk about themselves.

what do you mean widow of your neighbors? are they stupid or do you feel like you can't talk to them on any intelligent subjects?
