I have 4 cans that have a BB date in December 2005. Do you think there will be anything harmful inside, or is it just that they will taste a bit off?

I doubt it will even taste funny. I would only worry about it going flat. After almost a year, the carbonation might be less fizzy. I mean, it's pretty much just ginger and sugar. What could go bad? mmm... ginger beer.

They'll be absolutely fine. They kept one of the first ever cans of baked beans, opened it a couple of years ago, and it was fine despite being almost 100 years old............

They will start to lose their fizz & become flat. Try one & see. It's processed in a sterile environment so don't think bugs are growing in it.
