It wouldn't work. Think about this....how can your body burn food (which uses energy) if it has no energy to burn?
A lot of people think that just from eating less will make them lose weight. That is completely untrue. Based on your weight and activeness you should determine how you eat.
By eating a couple bowls of cereal and some fruit all day would give you about 400 calories, maybe. I am 165lbs. and my caloric intake, at a minimum, should be 2475. If i wanted to lose weight, a good caloric intake/day to start would be about 2000.
Your body doesn't get energy from burning your fat, it gets it from food. If you ate cereal everyday, not only would you get sick of the cereal, but you would also get; lethargic, depressed, and make yourself prone to all kind of sicknesses, due to the vitamin and nutritional deficencies. If you are really concerned with losing weight, you should just fork out a couple hundred and talk to a nutritionist.

You will definitely lose weight I would imagine particularly if your body is used to a higher calorie diet. Though I would think that your weight loss will be sudden intially and then stop. Your weight loss plan is very unhealthy and will not give you a continued weight loss. Better if you start exercising first to increase your metabolism, while at the same time reducing the fat content in your diet. By this I mean cutting down on chocolate, crisps, deserts, processed food, and fast food. This will help keep the weight off. You aren't planning to eat any protein which is very unhealthy. Your body doesn't store protein so you have to eat it every day otherwise you will break down your muscle (not fat). I hope you will be having milk with your cereal - very important to get calcium in your diet especially if you're exercising. I love cereal myself so I eat at least 2 bowls everyday but I'm not trying to lose weight so I eat proper meals too during the day. Special K is actually quite high in sugar, you might be better trying something like Weetabix or rice crispies which have a lower sugar content. Cornflakes or shreddies are my favourites!

eat cereal or yogurt or oatmeal (lowfat kinds) for breakfast, eat fruit at 10(apple or banana), eat a light lunch at 1(soup, sald) eat a nice supper at 5-6(chicken, veggies, wheat bread), light snack of fruit or fat free pudding or jello at 8- drinks- skim milk, green tea, water, diet soda- 5 or 6 days a week, leave sat or sunday to eat some junk-for date dinners, family events, etc.
eating this way (many small meals) speeds up your metabolism
exercise

after work
stretch 5 minutes, jog/run 15 minutes, walk 15 minutes, stretches/weights 15 minutes, 10 minute shower = 1 hour exercising
i try to exercise for 15 minutes on my lunch break too if I have time

You might lose weight but you still need carbs and protein. You just have to eat more time an less food. If you keep this routine you might get sick. Best way is jog drink a lot of water avoid sugars and if you can hit the gym or jog in the morning rather than the afternoon or evening will be better also don't stress yourself 2 much.

That's what they claim on the box. I've been eating Special K Red Berries every day for like the past year and I never get sick of it. Sometimes I eat it a few times a day! It sounds like you'd lose weight that way, but that's assuming you can stick to it and not cheat here and there. Sugar free Jello is a great snack because it has pretty much nothing in it and it's filling.

Thats a very good plan however I would eat some chicken breasts or fat free cottage cheese with your dinner. You cannot cut out protein from your diet. You need it to build and repair your muscles and in the end muscles will burn fat. Another good thing to add to your diet is GREEN TEA because it naturally speeds up your metabolism and detoxs your body as well as improves your immune system...to just name a few..
cancer
rheumatoid arthritis
high cholesterol levels
cariovascular disease
infection
impaired immune function
These are prevented and/or helped while drinking the tea. You can put sugar in the green tea. It will not affect the benefits. I recommend one teaspoon/cup. I have drank it for 14 years and swear by it! Awesome stuff. Yeah but other than that, your diet plan looks pretty damn good. Good luck! Hope I was helpful.=0)

You will lose weight on that plan. You may also lose your hair, stop having periods, and get brittle bones, because you are describing a starvation diet.
You won't have the energy to run!
Stick to no less than 1200 calories a day in raw veg & fruits, whole grains, and some dairy & protein, and take a multivitamin.
Weght loss is like the tortoise/hare race---slow & steady wins!

No, it works, I lost 50 lbs (in 4 months) doing that, you should have a healthy normal dinner like chicken w/ a little melted mozzerella cheese, string beans, mushrooms, garlic, olive oil. It does work, be careful excersising, it makes you hungry. don't eat past 6pm, 7pm the absolute latest (you lose more wt if you don't eat past 6pm), try "McCaans Irish oat meal" (quick cook), in place of one of the special k meals, it's the same amt. of cals, and sometimes a hot breakfast is better, wash down with a cup of coffee (NO SUGAR) and ya done, eat lunch at about 11:30am, fresh veggies (you can eat lots of em) with dinner are very good (Fresh cracked pepper, and "Janes Crazy salt). Take a good multi-vitamin (you're reducing nutrition when lowering caloric intake), Remember, "Fried Food is "DEATH" ! avoid sugars and refined carbs (pasta, candy, cake, etc) YOU HAVE TO BE YOUR OWN COP, AND POLICE YOURSELF FROM CHEATING ! the results are amazing, and you can actually see a wt loss after just 10 days, then it really starts to melt off FAST ! your clothes get lose, and you realize how fat you were, I went from 205 to 140lbs and holding, pants went from a tight 38" waist to a loose 32", with a totaly flat stomach

whole grain cereals like grapenuts and shredded wheat is healthier you know. And, you need some protein girl, protein build muscle. Fish, chicken breast and turkey are great. Peanuts are good in moderation. Try a variety of excercises too! Do dance, swim, ride your bike! find something you love! Heres a even better menu! I promise!
breakfast - bowl of whole grain cereal in skim milk and some fruit
snack- keeps your motabolism going- veggies
lunch- nother bowl of cereal and fruit
snack- whole grain sandwich with veggies, egg whites or tuna
dinner-veggies, protein, veggie soup

You probably would lose weight on this diet, but you might get tired of eating so much cereal just to be honest. Special K is kind of bland. I have heard that if you crash diet,(skip meals) you will actually gain weight because your metabolism will slow down. So this diet would be better than not eating at all
