Maybe now you can understand why the non-religious are so hateful here.....it is nice to see someone politely suggest that it's both sides.

I am so non-perfect. I try to be the best I can be and Then I'll notice oops. I just told my little brother I hated him. I find myself time and time again making mistakes. But the thing is sometimes some christians are a little harsh. But then there are the others that care. It's kind of like Spiritual Gifts in a church. There are those who have mercy and kindness and others might not have that much. But you have got to realize no matter what that christian said. He's probably been hypocritical too.

You are right that there are a lot of hipocrites on all sides of the fence here.
I must admit that I too can get a bit hostile when I see comments or questions that ridicule what I hold sacred, i.e., God, Jesus, the Bible, or if someone posts something that is offensive in general.
I saw the post you were referring to and I won't go looking up your other answers as that other person did.
You are right that he may have been a bit over the top in doing that.
Try, though, to make sure that on your answers and questions you don't open yourself up for ridicule and negative feedback from others.
Things you may find humorous or may mean in a joking vein others might find offensive or off-putting.
Remember, always cover your A$$-etts.

When you are dealing with what people believe is right and true, be they of the same religion or not, you will open a can of worms if they happen to disagree with you. I find it sad as well. But for different reasons. For me, I thought this would be an open forum where people could share their ideas and thoughts about what they had "learned" about their religion and others. Unfortunately, I see a lot of people who simply gulp and vomit their responses. They're all trying to get an "A" with their particular god and don't give a **** whose toes they step on or whose feelings they hurt in the process.
I am not a Christian but I do despair of what I see here.

I don't care who you are ( I'm speaking of everyone not just you) NO ONE is perfect ..We all sin everyday and just because your a Christian doesn't mean your perfect that is so untrue..Whoever that person was that scrolled through your answer is not perfect either he needs to read his Bible ..And your not a Hypocrite just because your not perfect..Ask a preacher he will tell you the same thing..

Actually there are more kind people on this site than the illmannered ones. Yet, as a Christian I expect insults and bad manners. Don't let the mistreatment from other (whether Christian or Athiest) manipulate you or drive you to discouragement.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.

I am amazed that you don't understand that Christians are not nice. In most cases Christians are the greed and power people and if you try to do anything you own way it interferes with how they want things done which falls in the power side because they are losing control. When you loose control you lose money.
If anyone really cares it is the atheist in the group which are normally told to go to hell by the Christians because they do not support the control and money that the Christians want. Most are looked at as the devil because of this. And if religion can make the atheist look like a evil beast trying to spread darkness they can keep you putting that money in that plate at church or being a christian is the CEO at Exxon Mobile you will put money in their plates too.
There are lots of good people in here. I just feel that 75% of the world has been brain washed and that I should do my part to try to lead them back to the light that they are being scammed by religion.
The same for the religious people also known as the beast of the darkness of hell and death and gloom. Remember to pray and give lots of money or you will go to hell.

I am the Christian in question. I did not call Nikki a hypocrite, her own question asked why she was one. I did not scroll through her answers, these are answers I remember reading as they came up, and I did not like them. If I had scrolled, goodness knows what I would have found. I am not going to perpetuate this but I will not be maligned, and then accused of claiming to be perfect by answerers here who take Nikki's self-pity as somehow valid, without responding. She asked yahoo answers why she was a hypocrite, you may wish to ask the same.
None of us is perfect. But merely stating that we are not perfect does not entitle us to do exactly what we like. We either try to live our lives as Jesus did or we don't. We can't claim to and then not.
Angrily - but composed - I wish you peace.

It was surprisingly refreshing to me, as an atheist, the thoughtful and polite nature that were expressed in responses to my questions. Most did not agree with me of course, but it was and continues to be a pleasant exchange of ideas and thoughts. Of course there are some belligerent fools out there who simply regurgitate dogma from either side. Ignore them. They are simple fools with nothing to offer you or any body else. Hang in there,

I believe anyone who claims to be perfect is a liar! And yes there are people in here who are not mean or rude. I am beginning to wonder however if those with a little integrity are in a minority group!!
