I go running everyday with my 18-month-old in the baby jogger. He used to be great but he's starting to get bored. I give him his snack, sing to him, point things out, and he likes to press the buttons on Baby Tad although most toys just fall out of the stroller. Any unique ideas on how to keep him occupied?

Try taking crib toys that are made to clip on to the side of a crib and clip them onto the stroller. Try some of these:

Also try stopping halfway for a few minutes and take a break, take him out to walk around, ect. That way both of you can stop and relax for a few minutes and then get going again. Another suggestion I thought would be good would be to get a stroller that would allow him to face you. That way you could look at him, interact with him, talk to him, etc.

i'd stick a portable dvd player on the tray with the velcro car straps... if you have one. Thats generally a great way to occupy a few minutes, You could stick a couple baby einstiens in it.

Or, you could get some sort of interesting music, and strap your cd player to the handle bars and run the ear phones through the hood to him.

If those arent options you could try changing your routine so he takes a short nap while you're jogging.

Poor kid! I would get bored too. Motherhood does involve sacrifices - (and it is worth it. I am going to be a granny in 5 months.)

Either give up your run 3/4 days a week and do something else with your child or find a babysitter. That way you can both have a bit of what you need.

Maybe try taking a different path if you go the same route. He could be bored with the scenery. Also, you can try and give him different toys to play with, and just attach them to the stroller with links.

Not sure since you run. My son hates the stroller so when I walk I pull him and his sister in a wagon....but I don't think that would work with running.
