If you test Negative for HIV could you still have AIDS???

What I mean is I got these white bumps on my tongue which they think is an reaction to meds they did an HIV test came back negative I have been married ten years but could I have AIDS??

My husband and I have been together for ten yrs sexually neither one of us has cheated. My culture came back showing nothing my HIV test came back - after ten yrs is there a diffrent test for AIDS versus's HIV?

Testing negative for HIV doesn't rule out HIV.. there is a gap between the time that one gets the virus and the time that it is able to be determined by lab testing.. months. So if you test negative again in 9 months, you can be reasonably sure you don't have the disease.

No. HIV is the virus & only becomes AIDS once you get sick & can't get rid of it...something as simple as a cold can trigger it.

When testing, it is advised to get a few of them 6 months apart though. This is because the virus doesn't always show up right away (if a person has contracted it) & can take about 6 months to incubate or mature or whatever to where it is noticeable in tests.

No. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS. And no one ever died from AIDS. It's the infections that a person gets due to their immune system being weakened that leads to their death.

yes you need to have 2 negitive hiv tests to rule this out and since you had 1 in 6 months you need to be retested

HIV first. You could die from the symptoms though before you get the full blown AIDS though.

Yes, AIDS can be dormant for up to 5 years, you can search aids online and they can give you more help always, always use protection. It's your life...
