yes ghosts are real .. but most likely they are not what most people imagine them to be
ghosts are energy left over .. a memory of what once was
they cannot communicate and will replay their actions over and over until eventually they will play out
if someone frequented a place often , they would leave their imprint on the place .. once they have left the place , that energy for a time remains
its like walking into a room full of people who are smiling ... but you know that just before you came in there has been an arguement .... you feel that energy that has been left there

but just to throw in a little extra thought for you

AG - If you're only experiencing this after moving into this home than something in the home or that was done in the home has attracted spirit creatures. Unfortunately, spirits like this are not good spirits. In the Bible angels of the true God were used to warn people, deliver messages or bring comfort. Of course they did many other things, but mainly they were to minister to the true God. They identified who they were and the nature of these visits. They did not stay indefinitely, nor did they lurk around or become attached to humans, things, places etc. Only demons act in this manner, it should be taken very seriously. The true God does not use methods like this, he inspired his word the Bible to tell us what we need to know, bring comfort and hope or warn us. You need to take measures to rid your home if possible of these spirit creatures by getting rid of what they may be attracted too. Do you have books, movies, posters, amulets etc that they may be attracted too? A neighbor of mine was having similar problems like this, she discovered wallpaper done 3 wallpaperings ago that had crosses on it. Once removed she no longer had problems. So look around your home for something that might have been left by previous owners. Also reading the Bible will help and prayer using God's name (Psalms 83:18). These things will help to combat these spirits, because they are not faithful angels of the true God. I also must mention that they are not people who were once living and then died, the Bible does not support that the dead are able to come back to life as ghosts (Ecclesiastes 9:5). I hope that you and your family will be safe and take this intrusion seriously. Many of the people who answered this seem to think it depends on what you beleive. It does not however, it is what it is regardless of if you beleive it or not. You could think that the sky is orange, doesn't make it so though. What matters is what the BIble says about the dead and about angels.

I saw a ghost when I was very small, staying with my grandmother. I know that most people really don't know what to believe. That there isn't any evidence and such but I'm here to tell you that they are real.

Your spirit/energy/soul is eternal. When you die, you simply shed the earthly clothing which is made of dense molecules. Your spirit, on the other hand, is like matter; it cannot be destroyed, only transformed. Spirit molecules are vibrating at such a rate that are invisible to the human eye; like the blades spinning on a fan; off or slow you can still see them, but in high speed you see through them!!!!!

Depend on what you believe. Some people think they are real some people don't . It really depends on who you ask. I think they are real. Can't say I've seen one in person, but I can say that I've felt like there is someone watching me from time to time depending on where I've been.
