I note that Overland Park is a suburb of Kansas City. There are two airports in the vicinity, both in Missouri: Wheeler Downtown, and Kansas City International. Wheeler has half a dozen FBO's where you can go to get information. There is also one at International.

While your looking for a flight school Check around on Ebay and consider buying almost anything from Kings schools, Dave and Martha King are Icons of most schools that use Cessna aircraft Those VHS tapes and CDs will give you give you some Idea of what you will be learning make sure they are ("VFR") instructional materials. It is nowhere as easy to learn as you may have fantasized it is.
I have over 100 hours in a Cessna 172 as a student and if i can get off my lazy butt and study I will be ready for my check ride.
