Hello. I just wrote a question about becoming prolife and I was surprised as to how many people seem to think that as Christians, we should "let others make up their own mind" as to whether or not to terminate their pregnancies i.e. kill their babies. Some people even thought the issue was just about government involvment--not even about saving lives!!!!

I just want to ask pro-choicers who consider themselves Christian, when you die and meet Jesus face to face, he may say to you "I was vulnerable and you did nothing to protect me. I was being aborted and you did not pray for me and my parents. I was murdered while you sat idly by and said nothing in my defense." You may say, "Lord, when did I see you vulnerable or murdered and did nothing to help you?" But Jesus tells us that he will reply "I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these brothers, you did not do for me." (Matthew 25)

Christians, please give this some serious thought. Thank you!

There is a difference between judging another person and judging an action. We can judge actions because there are objective conditions related to the action that are always true. For example, abortion always ends a life.
We cannot judge others because there are subjective conditions that always change. For example, a woman who is compelled to get an abortion by her boyfriend who threatens to leave her is not sinning. In this example, she neither has full knowledge of what she is doing nor full consent of the will.

Jesus very often distinguished between objective and subjective conditions. For example, of course he was explicit in discussing adultery as a sin (Mt 5:28), but he did not withhold forgiveness from the woman: "Then neither do I condemn you, go now and leave your life of sin." (John 8:11)

It would be wrong of us not to lovingly and humbly try to keep one another from unknowingly sinning.

If given a choice, I'd rather see churches of my faith burn here on Earth, then see church leaders fail to protect the innocent and unborn...any day. These buildings or even people wouldn't be the first matyrs for standing up for God's teachings.

I applaud you for encouraging people to give serious thought to important issues like this. I'm not Christian, so it doesn't concern me what Jesus would say, but, as a human being, I do have an interest in what is moral. I will consider your words.

I personally don't believe in abortion and neither do my parents. If my birth mother would have had an abortion, I would not be here, and my adoptive parents wouldn't be able to be AWESOME parents to me & my brother & Sister.

Both of my parents have talked endless hours to all of us about the important of abstinence of sex before marriage. All of us are virgins, and plan to remain that way for many years. If more parents would nurture their children, and spend more time with them and teach them the importance of abstinence, (There is really no such thing as safe sex...condoms break 30% of the time and thousands of women get pregnant while taking the pill.) There would not be an abortion issue. I read some where that less than 1% of rape victims get abortions.

Parents choose to let their kids run wild. The abortion problem is 100% the blame of liberal parents who think free will is the great solution to the worlds problems...when in actuality it's what is turning this world into evil unaccountability.

BGod gave us free will. Who are you to take that away from us? If a woman wants an abortion it is between her and her doctor, not the whole world. besides, the bible says life doesn't start until quickening, so there is no soul to lose yet. And to inflict YOUR morals onto something is something Jesus warned us against. Numerous times. Did he not say "let he who is innocent cast the first stone", and did he also not say "judge not lest ye be judged" and "do not ask about the mote in your brother's eye while there is a timber in yours." Most women believe that an abortion is the only path open to them at the time, and who are you to smugly say they are wrong. Have you never done something you knew may not be right.

If you don't believe in abortion, don't GD have one. Take that right away from the rest of us and you will start a very uncivil war. Angry women with matches all across America will turn fundi and Catholic churches into burning monuments to gender repression.
Why should your delusional superstitionist beliefs be forced on the rest of us?

First, this is not a question. It is an opinion and a judgement of others.

Every man sins. Every sin is the equal. Jesus didn't cry out to all of the gays/ lesbians or women who would get an abortion and say that their sin was above all others.

Stop focusing on other people's sins and try looking at yourself. Like Jesus said, let the person who is without sin cast the first stone.

I think you should put down the stone and walk away slowly.

If someone who calls them selves a Chrsitian, supports the right to choose, they are not Christian at all. You either stand on the word of God 100% or not at all. You must walk in the word and not pick and choose only certain words you agree with. Those who pick and choose fall under this scriptures...

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Defination for reprobate-A primitive root; to spurn; also (intransitively) to disappear: - abhor, cast away (off), contemn, despise, disdain, (become) loathe (-some), melt away, refuse, reject, reprobate, X utterly, vile person.

abortion is a good thing because its the fastest ticket to heaven.
you should be thanking those abortion doctors for delivering so many souls to god.
they do a better job of saveing souls then christians.
why would u want bring someone in to this evil world of sin, death and disease, unloved and rejected?
when they could be in Paradise with right now with god
with out any worry about going to hell.
god you christians are just so selfish!

There is no such thing as an "unborn child."

According to the bible, a person becomes a "living soul" when he breathes through his nostrils.

The bible does not prohibit abortion.

Why are you misusing the bible to support your own personal opinions?

Guess it's a good thing I'm not a Christian, then. I can keep my nose out of other people's uterus.
