I think most people become less strong from pain - more bitter and cynical, but not strong. Pain keeps us from thinking about everything else except stopping it. It has no powers to make us better people. It's a force that twists us and makes us fear it, but it can't make us strong

if you allow those lessons to strengthen you .. then yes
but some people dont see the lesson learnt , so will continue to make the same mistake
some people for reasons of their own may be used to the pain of being hurt , and dont know how to change that pattern
but it can be done and we can learn and become incredibly strong

Yes, they do.
When something starts going bad: The pain triggers memories about these lessons learned that will make you strong enough to see it, prevent it, stop it, recover from it, stop others, and HELP others.

Its a personal choice whether we allow them to or not.

Whether to get bitter or better, whether to get stronger or weaker.

If we trust in God with all our heart, and lean not to our own understanding, acknowledging Him in all our ways, then we will get stronger.

Not by themselves...it's your responsibility to live through it and use it to become stronger.

I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for anyone who's never suffered or done a day of manual labor in their life.
