Start with Exodus 20:14, then check Matt. 5:27-28, 31-32,then 1`Corth 6:8-10 & Eph 5:3, 25, 28,29,31,&33. God could explain it alot better than I, and you DID ask for what verse (I assumed out of the Christian Bible).

But here is some food for thought: If all of us humans on earth were to do things of a sexual nature along the means God intended for us to, and provided for us (i.e., no sex before, outside of, in addition to, nor after marriage--unless you were to re-marry someone in the same boat; and divorce was something God tolerates, knowing our weaknesses, but really hates)...then how would things such as AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, herpes, and the like ever be passed around so readily? Sure, there are a few other ways to contract these things, but mostly, they are transmitted through sexual contact.

Just a way of pointing out how the Lord did not just make up these "rules" to be mean, or expect us to go around splitting hairs on definitions for sin, like some Pharisee or Scribe, but He knew what was best for His children, and was just trying to protect us from the worldly consequences of our sin.

You are very incoherent. Practice writing and read more. If you are talking about the Bible, reference the Book of Matthew for information on adultery. Also, I Corinthians 6:9 talks about adulterers. After Jesus came, even lust came to be considered adultery. That is why it important to get married and not shack up and pump out bastard children for 13 years.

The dictionary does a pretty good job..

: voluntary sexual intercourse between a married man and someone other than his wife or between a married woman and someone other than her husband; also : an act of adultery

Some of these idiots have not clue. Adultery is sex with someone OTHER THAN your current spouse. *Fornication* Is sex outside of or before marriage.

Why would you need a verse to explain what it is if you have a freaking dictionary. And then you just need to know it is against God.
