I would say about half nine for the 10 year old and about half ten for the twelve year old on a school night. I think thats the time i went to bed unless there was something special going on.

I recently read an article in the Journal of Pediatrics that says that kids in school (up to high school age) should be getting at least 9 to 10 hours of sleep per night.
It really depends on the child; some can go on 8.5 or 9 hours, while others will want to sleep up to 10 or 11.

The key is to make sure your kid is getting enough sleep that s/he's not irritable or cranky, isn't getting sick, is able to concentrate enough to attend to school work and home work, etc. If s/he seems to be lacking energy or the ability to complete a task, then that child needs more sleep.

Kids that age need at least 8 hours sleep a night I would say 9 pm is a good time. You can let they stay up later on the weekends or on days when they do not have school but kids really need to get plenty of rest if they are going to do well in school

Depends what time do they have to get up? I would say 9:30 -10:00 not knowing when they get up. But If they have to get up super early they should go to bed earlier. SHould get 8-10 hrs of sleep a night.

No later than 9pm for the 10 year old and 10pm for the 12 year old - and if they complain - try recording the match on video or dvd so they can watch it back at earlier time.

A good time would be in bed by 9pm, with an hour to read & wind down.

Generally, if the footie is on the odd late night isn't going to hurt.

I think it depends on how much sleep they need and how well they sleep. Maybe - School night - 10yr old about 9 o'clock ish 12yr old 10 o'clock ish. Normal night - hour later ish. Champ league night let them stay up and watch cause they won't sleep so they may as well watch the game.
