Even in the absense of any proof of being mistreated? Is this just a sham, false publicity and media hype of the old times for gains?

Because religion loves using guilt-trips as a powerplay to get it's own followers to do their bidding so they figure it will work on others too.

excuse me. jews are doing the same thing. it's a reality it's not false. look it up and history will show that everyone not just jews were persecuted. Look at the gypsies in Romania now. Umm, just because it doesn't hit the news and is written in every history book doesn't mean it didn't happen. read and learn my friend. life is full of religious persecution even before judiasm.

Christians are persecuted every day by Muslims in Nigeria, Sudan and other places.

When Muslims are the Majority - no one else persecutes them besides the US bombs dropping on them because Abdul and Muhammad disagreed over the price of a sheep and Abdul knows friends in US Special Forces and cries that Muhammad is bin Laden - all of this over a price of a sheep.

The media has a lot to answer for. They stir up a lot of unnecessary problems. If christians & muslims got on together world wide it would be a better world (maybe)

I dont remember any christians screaming victimization
what about when the aithiests screamed victim victim with the text books and still do under the guise of PC
