what is it for...who can crawl in a hole that small??? i dont get it...please explain... my priest put that up a month ago...i still dont get it...but now a lot more of the guys confess their sins... im sooo confused!!!

You must be young, and a fairly new Catholic. You've probably only seen face-to-face confession. Back in the old days, there was a built-in booth in the back of the church where the Priest sat in the center, and you went behind a curtain to kneel in the next little cubicle. You would whisper to the Priest through the little screened window; one, so the whole church wouldn't hear you, and two, it's screened and small because the Priest is not interested in knowing who you are, only needs to hear.

It was probably meant at as a joke and not to be taken too seriously. It's letting you know that church is a place where you can come and confess your sins and leave them there.
