Make sure you are using urine cleaner (for pets).

Also, if your little man isn't neutered, neutering him will stop it (or get it close to stopping), plus you have the added benefit of him not roaming, and no puppies.

You can also put his food/water where he marks. He won't go where he eats (or $hit where he eats, as the saying goes).

Hope this helps!!! LK

Use a cleaner that takes away the smell. The best thing is bleach. You can also use nature's miracle. The dog will continue marking in the same areas if he can smell it.

How old is your dog? Maybe they are feeling territorial. If that is the case, they need to be neutered/spayed. A dog that is as little as 5 months can start to do this, but usually is is about 8 to 9 months.

If your dog is a puppy, then you need to house train him. There are many methods to house train a dog. The easiest way the I have found is to do the following:

As soon as you find the "golden puddle," get your puppy and put his nose right up to it. He will know that it is his by the smell. He will also undertand what you are directing his attention to.

Next you have to scold the dog.

Finally, the most important step: you must imedietly take the puppy outside where he is supposed to go potty.

Good luck

PLEASE neuter him!! Even if you don't plan on breeding him, you must get him neutered! When male dogs smell female dogs in heat (and they can smell them from far away) they will do ANYTHING to get to her - it's their instinct. This means he can run out of the house and get hit by a car, etc. Plus there are too many homeless puppies in the world!!! Neutering him will also prevent many things such as marking his territory (granted all male dogs do it, but neutered ones do it less!) and also it eliminates all risk of testicular cancer! It makes your dog more loyal to you as well, and less rowdy.
Neutering is NOT that expensive! If you want to find a low-cost facility that does it call 1-800-248-SPAY !!

make sure that you clean the area properly....that way the dog will not go back to the same place...take him out for walks when you wake up, he will find a spot where he will go to each time yo take him out, there he will do his business....keep watching him, if it seems that he is gonna pee...then gently discipline him, with a strong NO, just keep your eye on him, soon he will adapt...you can also buy behave pellets/sprays or powders from the vets surgery or any local pet shop, apply it to to area where he keeps pee-ing, the scent will put him off...other than that take him outside for a pee....you'll be surprised how intelligent dogs are...they learn fast

use a bio washing powder with warm water and cover the area a bit wider then the wee mark. He may need to be castrated if he hasnt all ready been castrated.

You might also like to try a D.e.p collar if washing the area wont work (most likely wont...pee is strong). D.e.p collars have pharmones in them, and some times helps animals with strange behaviors.

Also, has your pet been altered? This is a common thing in unaltered pets...

Neutering him would solve the problem, but also a product called natures miracle would clean it up, and then you could use NoGo, to deter him from his favorite spots.

Go to the store and buy some spray that smells funny to your pet and spray the area and that should stop your dog.
