No, I would not. This is America, and we have freedom to believe in what we wish.
Just as I have the freedom to be a Christian, I would not expect a law to be made that only Christians are allowed. God did not plan the world in this manner. He gave us the free will to choose.

Man, sounds like you are trying to get the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition started all over again. That's why Christianity is as big as it is today. The leaders and followers of the Crusades pretty much did exactly what you are describing, except for the murdering of the people who didn't accept the Christin faith part. But then again, the world is changing everyday, you never know what some crazy nut-job in the White House will do next

It depends on the philosophy or religion, dont you think. If a religion teaches that all religions should be tolerated and every one from every religion should have freedom of religion, would you have a problem with such a religion becoming the policy of the State?
In fact such a rule is already in place in America, which on one side claims IN GOD WE TRUST, on the other hand says that all religions should have freedom to practice their faith. The State Religion is RELIGIOUS TOLERATION!! is it not?
So, if a religion is tolerant in that way, why would you have a problem with such a religion?
However, if a religion teaches no other religion shall be allowed to exist and all religions should be eradicated, THEN such a religion should never be tolerated as such toleration would hurt all people.
I am saying this as a Muslim, who sincerely believes that Islam allows all faiths to co-exist in peace and it has centuries of examples where many faiths have lived in peace with each other and with Muslims over vast regions of the World.
Shocking? yeah.... TRUTH can be shocking and hidden, even in this day and age of INFORMATION SUPER-HIGHWAY!!

We have seen what happens to nations that adopt state religions.
Unfortunately, there are far more stupid, gullible people than intelligent, rational people, so it is a possibility that someday, someone will manage to impose a specific religious belief on everyone in the US.
At which time, the destruction of the US will be complete and the US will descend into a third world status, same as all other nations with an enforced state religion.

Naturally if legislation was to be passed in favour of your religion, then you would be happy, or angry if it went against your religion. The reason? Group mentality means that the general sentiments of a social group are likely to be shared in the event of a major event. For example, after the Iraq war started, the number of radical Islamic publications, clerics and videos went up, reflecting the outcry there was at the attack on innocent Islamic Iraqi citizens, which only reinforced the anti-Western sentiment already brewing in the US and Europe.

It has already happened, though not by way of legislation but by a gradual manipulation of the judicial process.
Before an idea can be legal in a public capacity, it must have a primarily "secular" purpose, or be absent of religious value. This philosophy's enforcers are generally pretty quick to punish those who think they can smuggle God into a public setting.

No, I believe that should be your choice, because, I believe one way, and you another, there would be no reason for me to try to force the way I believe on anyone. I think that is part of our problem in America, we have way too many bills, people are pushing on us. We should have freedom of religion, regardless of where you are from.

I am a follower of God and Jesus Christ his son, and NO, I would never support a law or bill making Christianity mandatory.
The bible states that each must come to God on his or her own and forced belief is just silent unbelief.

I would NOT want to live in a Religious Autocracy, even if it were a Catholic one.
Church and state should remain separate, and people should be free to worship as they wish.
Peace!
