Maslows Heirachy of Needs
First stage - physical survival needs - water food etc
Second Stage - safety and security - comfort freedom from threats etc,
Third stage - social needs belonging- acceptance , group member ship
Fourth stage need for self esteem- prestige and status, recognition of intelligence
Fifth stage - need for self - actualization - learning at a high level, challenging projects etc.

I thought maslows pyramid was some made up rubbish some idiot put on the internet a few years ago for a laugh and people took it serious. you should read the black science by dr haha lung, it's just as amusing.

I always thought the self actualisation bit was the unattainable, the holy grail, etc. As I understand it, no human has ever reached self actualisation (maybe the Dalai Lama) but it explains the restlessness of man.
