I know what you mean. I am tired of seeing the hard core christians answer questions by using someones elses words and not thier own. I believe that many cannot have a regular conversation without quoting (and improperly I might add) the bible or some scripture. Christianity is the largest brainwashing organization. Hardly any of them are open minded to think that the creator has many names and is worshipped in many ways. They also tend to forget they are following the teachings of a Jewish rabbi. Christianity is the youngest religion.
By the sounds of it you are a pagan or wiccan. Blessed be and love and light blessings unto you sister. I am a witch, but I am also a dangerous one for christians. I have more grasp of the bible and the teachings in it than they can ever have. I tend to talk them into circles and show them how the bible is no longer a valid book due to its over abundance of rewrites (even though the bible had forbidden it in revelations).

Simple bible questions do not always have simple answers. As silly as it is to give someone a gallon of water when they only want a cup of water sometimes it is necessary. ALTHOUGH I will say that the explanation does not require the quoting of 30 bible scriptures and a mini-sermon in the process. I used to HATE it when people would bore me to death with a zillion scriptures full of "he thou and ye sayith". Well.. I still hate it. If it is going to be a long explaination at least it should be plain simple english and not half of a chapter of the book of Genesis.

The reason is because most people think that they are the only ones that know the truth of the bible. They also think everybody else is looking at biblical concepts in a wrong way. Therefore when asked something about the bible the person wants to show off all their knowledge to you - impressing you. Its sort of like a compliment.

Well, I have run into the same thing on Yahoo Answers. I consider myself to be a Christian. I have accepted Christ as my saviour. It's just that SOME Christians aren't very effective at preaching to others. They aren't very good at sharing the words of Jesus with others. They are much more of a detriment to their religion than they think. They turn others off. Jesus deserves to have better followers than some folks I see mouthing off, judging, and condemning others. Remember the two important commandments that Jesus was asked about- put your faith in God and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBORS. Some people are masters at the first commandment. But they need to work a little harder on that next one. In general, many folks do not have good social skills. And it becomes a disaster when these types folks try to share the word.

Maybe (see how I spelled that) they figured that there were no lessons going on in any church on a Wednesday during the middle of the day. When we see people like you that think there is a such thing as "karmic energy" after we finish laughing we try to help you. I would also appreciate (see how I spelled that too) a liitle respect, as does everyone, you are not special.

Given the regulations of the universe as all of us understand and notice them, it would be impossible for the countless volume of rely and capability that's interior the universe to have come from a finite particle. subsequently that's merely logical that the beginning of the universe ought to be derived from something greater complicated than what we are in a position to notice of the organic. Scientists then invent new terminology to describe their imagined theories of what might have been happening if it befell a undeniable way, and different scientists build upon that terminology to make an infinite loop of self helping theories and voila, theoretical physics is right here to stay. there is not any denying that technological expertise is a man made faith and theoretical physics is a great ponzie scheme of technological expertise. God, on the different hand, has been noted by ability of witnesses throughout the time of historical past. Even right this moment, tens of millions of folk testify to their very own courting with God. The origins of God are defined in earthly words interior the Bible. for how can any guy understand Heavenly concepts while he has in hassle-free terms his adventure on the earth? human beings can ask with regard to the beginning of God, yet they heavily isn't happy with the respond via fact what they unquestionably need to appreciate is how they are in a position to be a god. in case you recognize that a plant comes from a seed, then you could cultivate and boost many flowers. you could not understand the beginning of God previous what's defined interior the Bible. interior the start became the notice and the notice became with God, and the notice became God. human beings interpret this to point many stuff. yet once you study what little of the Gospel of Judas we've, you could come to a greater valuable expertise. in this gospel, Jesus demonstrates to Judas how an angel is stated as forth from not something, and how that angel calls from from not something many helpers, and how even the helpers might call forth helpers. and that's how that's in Heaven. Scientists are fools of their folly to have faith that they are in a position to invent the way the universe began from their very own mind's eye while God has already informed us the way, the reality, and the mild.

I guess I AM new here. I've never seen the bible quotes. I know there are a lot of religious-slanted questions.
Maybe it's like the guys who have a bumper sticker on their cars that say "I love my wife." To me, if you have to remind yourself with a bumper sticker, maybe you're not so sure. The people who write you the bible quotes may be trying to convince themselves that they're good christians (or whatever).

ok, so where's the question? You know, church really is a great place to learn about the Bible, i dont mean to sound preachy but I think you should go. Maybe you should start reading the Bible more often, so sorry if you hate preachy responses but I just had to tell you this.....

Because it's safe and easy to hide behind tradition and books. You don't have to understand anything. You just have to memorize a list of passages which will give a smug answer to anything anybody asks. If you get pressed for clarification, you simply yell BLASPHEMY and act superior and refuse to discuss it with a bunch of "ignorant infidels."
It's the oldest example of "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull."
