Every now and then, my cat will meow really strangely, then go in circles, as if chasing her tail. Shes done that before so when she did it yesterday i thought nothing of it. But then she did one more thing after that-she fell on her side and started twitching really bad-jumping and flopping around like a fish out of water. Then she went real still and just laid there. When she got up there was drool coming out one side of her mouth and blood coming out of the other. What is wrong with her, why is it happening, and how can i fix it?

If it helps, she has been spayed.

As soon as i saw it happen i told my parents and they said just let it go on because she's old and these things happen. I want her to go to the vet but unless my mom sees a severe one she wont bring her.

Poor Kitty!!! Take her to the vet right away she is having seizures. She could have eaten something that is poisoning her or If she is an older cat it could even be a brain tumor. JUST TAKE HER TO THE VET!!!! Just take the cat an go, to hell with your mother and worry about making her pay the bill later. If there is something really wrong(which there is) she can't really get mad at you.

Yes, a vet check with a good cat vet is clearly in order!

It may be as simple as a parasite like fleas or worms is driving her crazy, or another problem is causing her pain and triggering the behavior.

The symptoms you describe also sound similar to a concussion or trauma - perhaps she fell or got hit? - or even poisoning. Don't delay on the vet check!

There is a condition known as hyperesthesia which cats show excessive sensitivity in their skin, but you should exclude all other causes first.

Kittens will sometimes chase their own tails but it is unusual for this behavior to continue into adulthood.

Take her to the vet. She could be having seizures. Is she spayed? She might be going into heat if she is not fixed. Best thing to do is get her checked by a vet in any case... Vets can help more than an internet diagnosis.

Sounds like she is having seizures. Get her to the vet right away. She probably has bitten her tongue which is why the blood is in her mouth. Poor kitty. Take her to the vet. Good luck. :(

Sounds like a seizure. The blood might be from her biting her tongue. You may want to take her to a vet to get her on anti-seizure medication.

Take her to the vet ASAP. This is not normal. It sounds like some sort of siezure.
