Contact your local constabulary and ask them to send you the form out for the grant or renewal of a shotgun permit.
ounc you have it take your time in filling it in. As long as you have no criminal convictions , have some where to use it (farmer , ocupier of land or even joine your local clay shooting club,-thease are'nt relavent but they help)then you should not have a problem. You also need to get your self a police aproved gun cabnet if you intend to keep it on your propity (should have 7leaver locks on it),make sure its well fastned to the wall, the inspecting officer will have a good pull at it. good look hope this helped,, any other questions i can help you on on this e mail me

contact your firearms liason officer at your head police office. They will then send out some application forms, Fill them in and return them along with a £50 fee and some passport mug shots, They will then do a criminal check on you, The firearms officer will then contact you to arrange a meeting at your address. He will come to see you , Ask a few questions about safety , what you want a shotgun for, etc,He will then go away and you will find out in approx 2-3 weeks if you have been granted the firearms certificate. GOOD LUCK.

Just go to the gun dealer and find out every state has different rules on waiting. Here in Arizona you can buy a shotgun right away, you can also carry a gun with you where ever you want, as long as its in a holster. My friend has his Concealed weapons permit and it taking a class to own a silencer. ( I think he might be planning on killing someone).

If you identify the state you reside in, you will be able to get a more specific answer that will tell you what you need to do.
