You don't have a world in your head, it's a massive exagerration and lots of nonsense goes on because people believe the exagerration.

Because it is yours.
It is probably most comfortable in there. The cost of living there is affordable and most anything that you imagine is available.
You are not horrifying or terrifying yourself. Any eating you do there has all of flavor and zero calories. Petrol is cheap there too, as it should since you might decide to take the jet out for a spin and convert it to a submarine or a car.
It is a happy place that allows you to deal with the "real" world.

Have you tried counselling, a short course would probably bring you back into the real world. A lot of people have spells where they live in their heads though, especially when they are thinking through a problem.

Hi ya we all go there at times,well i do anyway,the real world is very cruel and unkind at times,it also seems to go too fast,so retreating into your own world is fine,but if you are worried about what is in your world, then go and have a chat with your Dr

Because we all live in a cruel world where very few people care about anything more than themselves. You prefer your world because nothing there is going to hurt or judge you.

because the real world is so harsh? but better to face it because they put people who do that into 'a place away from the rest of the world'

I often float around in my own world and just act on autopilot in the real world, maybe we all do its just that some will admit it and some won't.

i am same because the real world can be upsetting and nasty but when you do come back out its the same so you should head everything head on
