Same goes for mobile phone and digital camera. I heard they are going to relax the rules any day.

All it says on the foreign office site or airline's site is no liquids, and your bag must be within certain dimensions

Yes - I travelled by air today and had an MP3 player and digital camera as part of hand baggage. Make sure you don't carry anything that is liquid though as lots of people were caught out by this and it takes up a lot of time at security screening.

Shoes are also to be removed at security screening so slip-ons are a good idea.

Yes you can. I think. I've just come back from France and did not take hand luggage, as i was travelling under the impression that it was not allowed. However, I think I was the only one. Everyone had mp3 players and cell phones. There were size restrictions, and food and liquids were not allowed, unless they were bought airside.
It may vary between airlines/ countries though.

Yes you are allowed to take those items. I just flew overseas with those items and didn't have any problems. At certain securtiy checkpoints make you turn on the equipment to make sure it is actually what it looks like.

They have always allowed personal electronic devices on airplanes. No deodorant is one thing, but I imagine there would be quite the uprising if they banned electronics.

Call your airline before you go to get current information. They'll know better than most of us.
