People here seem to think the idea of levels in Hell is so novel. Would you be surprised to learn that people were discussing the same idea 700 years ago?

I have read it. It was part of my studies at the university. It's an ingenious set up for hell.

Yes I read Dante's Inferno in college as part of the course work for my Humanities I class.

I have many copies of this book (15) My favorite from the 1920's with all the G. Dore plates.


So I am not surprised....

I know which level I am headed for and need no outside confirmations!

I liked Larry Niven's and Jerry Pournelle's "Inferno" better.

I don't think it was a novel idea. But it was certainly a very biased, politically motivated, and silly book.
