ok my best friend is a guy who is more then a friend but not a boyfriend i really care about him as a boyfriend but i cant tell if he like me in this way i am afraid that if i ask if he likes me our friendship will become really akward and we wont be as close should i have someone else ask without him knowing it wanted to know because that would be dishonest or just staight out ask him i am afraid of being rejected or just losing my best frienship in my life

In your case I would suggest that you don't rush. Just enjoy your friendship and give it time to continue to develop. Have fun and relax, This way you do not jeopardize the integrity of the friendship and if the two of you share the same feelings you eventually will share a meeting of the minds.
Getting there is half the fun.

Come on to him in a friendly way, and if he does not like you, then just say it was just spontaneous, I'm sorry, and continue with being friends. Usually the girls have the problems, not the guys. He may try to avoid you if he doesn't like you because he's afraid of rejecting you. In that case, tell him you just want to be friends like the good old days, and nothing more, and continue being friends.

If his really your friend you wont lose him. Just ask him if he has any different feelings for you, and if he see you a little more than a friend. Let him know you dont want any thing to change between you guys.
