My vet told me not to punish my cat after the fact. She said they wouldn't understand the punishment. I rubbed my cat's nose in it, but stopped. My best advice it to spray her with water like the other person said when you see her getting ready to or in the act of peeing on the the clothes, floor, furniture, etc.

I don't know, but thats a problem.

We had a boy and girl cat. I brought in another female from the outside. And our first girl cat, Susie Q started peeing on the carpet. Then the new cat, Annie started peeing on a sofa. It was a mess. I had to put Annie in a shelter. I felt bad, but it was getting disgusting.
If your cat is alone, there is a problem. There is a product called Feliway, which makes the cat happy and secure, they claim. Maybe that will work. Your cat is bothered by something.

Some cats never grow out of the pee on everything stage, some are just nasty in temperament and pee on everything cuz they are displeased with their life in general.

Other cats pee to mark their territory, this is usually the result of either having another cat on the premises or maybe the scent of old cat urine. And some cats just like to mark everything as theirs (although I much prefer them rubbing on everything!)

The water bottle deal will work if it's just a training matter, but if it's a cat with a bad temperament then the more you squirt him the more aggressive he will get (he will escalate to clawing and shredding things and or chewing everything up, and god forbid u think the pee is bad, wait til he poops in your shoes!)

my cat does the same thing! expecially if i havent cleaned his litter box. I have to keep blankets and clothes off the floor. If I really keep up with the litterbox and scoop it everyday and change it out once a week, he dosent seem to do it. Try that it works for me!

Keep your clothes picked up, don't give him an option to go on anything but the litter box...or just keep him out of your room...

Have you check with the vet to rule out a medical problem, like a Urinary tract infection??? It would be cleared up with antibibiotics

As i said to many of the other questions, try t tree or pepper or even a citus spray they hate that. Dont hit your cat! just keep rubbing his nose in it everytime he dose it. Try moveing the litter tray some where else, they dont like it near there food.

the cat wants more time and attention, if you can not meet the cats needs then you must get a kennel/carrier for the cat and keep it contained when you are not there. ask your vet for help and ideas, it's worth the phone call at least

Sounds like your cat is very "pissed" at you and showing you literally what he thinks. Try giving him more attention. And a vet check up is never a bad idea.

Try squirting him with water when he does it. He'll soon learn that if he wets your clothes, he'll get wet. Which by the way cats hate.

Swat him on the head with a page of rolled up newspaper. Make sure he knows how to go outside too.
