Celebrex is the one that is designed to be least insulting to the stomach. It still does affect the stomach, so there are actually no anti-inflammatories that do not affect the stomach at all. Tylenol is NOT an anti-inflammatory, so that does not count.

Ketoprofen is one that is easy on the stomach. It can be found in Orudis KT or an RX can be given for it.

I used to use it and it worked great for my pain and didn't upset my stomach. Other anti-inflammatory's are nortorious for causing upset stomach therefore requiring an RX for Nexium or some other pill to help with the pain associated with taking anti-inflammatory's. Its a catch 22, take the pain meds and get a stomache and get a pill for that or take nothing at all and live and deal with the pain, it isn't fair to have to live that way.

I suggest looking into Ketoprofen if you haven't already. Good Luck!

Get some buffered aspirin (bufferin).

You can also try taking the pills with milk if the milk doesn't bother you.

Milk isn't digested in the stomach and it will neutralize the acid there. Your body digests the milk in your upper intestine so there is a greater chance that the pill will be absorbed there instead of in your stomach (causing the discomfort).

Unfortunately, Tylenol is the only one. All the aspirin based products (ibuprofen, motrin, etc.) are bad and the stomach. Celebrex, available by prescription, is easier on the stomach than aspirin but Tylenol is the most gentle.

Most anti-inflammatory medication will be hard on your stomach. Try taking it with plenty of food and liquids. All your NSAIDS are hard on the stomach.
